Hi, I’m Allison Haferman

     I am a student of Health and Wellness Promotion at Mid-State Technical College.  This semester I have the opportunity to be involved with the excellent staff, leaders, and students at the Wisconsin Rapids Boys and Girls Club.   This portfolio will demonstrate my ability to connect learned content and apply it to these real-world youth experiences.

     Hannah Graczkowski is the youth leader for the group I will be interacting with for this class.   The youth group is a combination of different schools, grades 2nd - 5th, where youth engage in discussion and role-playing, practicing resilience and refusal skills, developing assertiveness, strengthening decision-making skills, and analyzing media and peer influence.
